Wedding articles/How to Prepare for a Day of Wedding Dress Shopping
If you haven't yet set out on your quest for the perfect wedding dress, here are a few tips that will help you along your journey...
Things You’ll Need:
Shoes similar to what you might wear on your wedding day (Most commonly, High Heels)
A strapless bra
Someone who's opinion you trust
Step1Look through bridal magazines and/or bridal websites for ideas of dresses that you would like to try on.
Step2Make an appointment at a local wedding dress shop in advance. It is best to avoid the weekend, since those days will be the busiest.
Step3Bring your own bra and shoes with you to your appointment in case the bridal salon doesn't provide these items, or doesn't have your size.
Step4Be open to try on wedding dresses that you might not normally try on. You might be surprised at what actually looks good on you.
Step5Get the opinion of the person that you bring with you to the shop. This second opinion is usually helpful when making this big decision.
Step6You will probably have to try on more than a few wedding dresses before you find the one that you love. Don't be discouraged if you don't find "The One" on your first visit.
